Ikebana Inspired Workshop
Table arrangement workshop
DATE: 26th September
Ikebana in Japanese means "making flowers alive". To me personally, is a reflection of our mind through flowers. It's an active meditation and truly soul nurturing experience.
We will start with a history of Ikebana and how it has developed over time. I will showcase several main methods and principles how to build an Ikebana.
We will work with seasonal selection of cut and potted flowers. You'll have a chance to try your hand at a basic composition, emphasising lines, space and shape.
After the class we will carefully wrap the flowers for you take home, you will also be able to purchase a kenzan (a metal frog used to build ikebana arrangement).
All tools, flowers and refreshments will be provided.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
